The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and developing the Operations and Fuel Handling teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power generation facility. They are a key member of the site management team, ensuring operational performance, QHSE compliance, and delivery of contractual obligations in line with plant objectives.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Operations team within a 24/7 power generation environment
- Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation in line with operational limits, OEM guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Drive plant availability, reliability, and performance improvements through effective operational management
- Oversee operational routines, testing activities, and first-line maintenance activities within the CMMS system
- Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, environmental requirements, and site procedures
- Support the delivery of operational targets, production requirements, and contractual obligations
- Manage team performance, development, training, and competency requirements
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Site Management teams to optimise plant performance
- Identify operational, process, and people challenges and implement improvement actions
- Support emergency response and provide operational leadership when required
