The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Project Operations Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex offshore projects across the UK and North West Europe, with a primary focus on subsea cable installation and repair.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in offshore construction, marine operations or subsea cables.

You'll oversee vessel operations, offshore personnel, subcontractors and client relationships, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As Project Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for

  • Leading the planning and execution of offshore subsea cable installation and repair projects.
  • Coordinating offshore teams, vessels and specialist subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing and developing offshore operational teams, mentoring staff and supporting competency development.
  • Producing and maintaining operational procedures, method statements and technical documentation.
  • Managing key subcontractors and building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Providing technical expertise during tender submissions, identifying safe, practical and cost-effective installation methodologies.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery, maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Promoting a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture across all offshore operations.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve operational performance.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within subsea cables, offshore construction or marine operations.
  • Strong project management experience delivering offshore or subsea projects.
  • Experience within the offshore wind or subsea cable industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of vessel operations and offshore logistics.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
