Job Description
The Role You'll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
The role combines bookkeeping with finance administration and offers the opportunity to improve processes as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities Sales Ledger Raise customer invoices accurately and promptly using Quick Books.
Monitor invoice status and resolve billing queries.
Support credit control activities and assist with chasing overdue payments.
Purchase Ledger Process supplier invoices.
Prepare supplier payment runs.
Reconcile supplier statements.
Manage finance inbox and supplier queries.
Banking & Bookkeeping Complete daily bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records within Quick Books.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Ensure financial records remain complete and audit-ready.
Payroll & Compliance Internal payroll checks before submitting to payroll company Support compliance with HMRC requirements.
Month-End Support Assist with month-end close.
Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Produce regular finance reports for management.
Liaise with external accountants during month-end and year-end processes.
Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve finance processes.
Help automate repetitive finance tasks where possible.
Support the wider business with finance-related queries.

You're organised, proactive and take pride in keeping financial information accurate and up to date.
Essential Previous bookkeeping experience.
Experience using Quick Books (or similar accounting software)Confident with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills.
Desirable AAT qualified - Level 2Experience working within an SME.
