We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Support professional who takes pride in high standards and cares about supporting people in their community.
This is a part-time role of 12 hours per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance inside and outside the property.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and decorating tasks.
- Perform regular health and safety checks and record any issues.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including sweeping, gardening, and litter removal.
- Support with internal tasks such as moving furniture or small installations.
- Liaise with contractors, obtain quotes, and oversee minor works.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly and respond to emergencies when needed.
- What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years’ experience in property maintenance (social housing experience desirable).
- A relevant trade qualification (e. g. NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Practical skills across several trades (plumbing, electrics, decorating).
- Good knowledge of health and safety and housing compliance.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full driving licence (desirable).
