About the Role

We’re looking for a Housing Support Worker to join our supported accommodation service, providing safe housing and guidance to vulnerable families. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower families to build independence, stability, and brighter futures.
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll:
- Accept and process referrals, conduct interviews, and carry out risk assessments.
- Develop and review individual support plans in collaboration with each client.
- Support families with empathy, professionalism, and a non-judgemental approach.
- Assist with housing management tasks such as rent collection, repairs reporting, and preparing units for letting.
- Build strong, professional relationships with external agencies and partners.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to required reporting and outcomes.
- Take part in supervision, training, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
What we’re looking for:
- Good numeracy and literacy.
- Experience supporting vulnerable clients, including those affected by domestic violence.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour confidently and professionally.
- Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
- Experience of support planning and understanding the needs of vulnerable families.
- A caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental attitude.
- Knowledge of substance misuse (desirable).
- Experience working with children (desirable).
