CNC Turner - Programmer, Setter & Operator - Fanuc and/or Manual Guide - Permanent position. 4-DAY WEEK.

Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator (Fanuc and/or Manual Guide) with industry experience in a subcontracting environment to join our team in a recently refurbished factory.

The Role

  • Sub-contract precision engineering – mild steel, stainless steel, super duplex, brass, aluminium, and plastic manufacturing
  • Programming, setting, and operating (Fanuc + Manual Guide) CNC multi-axis lathes
  • Manufacturing quantities from prototypes to medium batch runs
  • Inspecting your own work
  • Maintaining a clear workstation

Ideal candidate

  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in a subcontracting environment; a familiarity with frequent, daily changes
  • Good experience programming CNC multi-axis lathes (Fanuc & Manual Guide)
  • Experience using CNC lathes with bar a feed system
  • The ability to change and reset machines multiple times per day, independently
  • Attention to detail; capable of detailed deburring and conducting first‑off inspections using verniers, thread gauges and micrometres etc
  • Good work ethic: demonstrated reliability, proactivity and loyalty in previous positions
  • Organised; the ability to multitask, looking after two machines, at any given time

Salary

Competitive rates of pay (up to £21 per hour depending on skill level) – plus overtime and profit‑related bonus. Full pay review after 3 months with pay increase based on ability.
