CNC Turner – Programmer, Setter & Operator - Fanuc and/or Manual Guide – Permanent position. 4-DAY WEEK. Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator (Fanuc and/or Manual Guide) with industry experience in a subcontracting environment to join our team in a recently refurbished factory.
The Role:
- Sub-contract precision engineering – mild steel, stainless steel, super duplex, brass, aluminium, and plastic manufacturing
- Programming, Setting, and Operating (Fanuc + Manual Guide) CNC multi-axis lathes
- Manufacturing quantities from prototypes to medium batch runs
- Inspecting your own work
- Maintaining a clear workstation
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in a subcontracting environment; a familiarity with frequent, daily changes
- Good experience programming CNC multi-axis lathes (Fanuc & Manual Guide)
- Experience using CNC lathes with bar feed system
- The ability to change and reset machines multiple times per day, independently
- Attention to detail; capable of detailed deburring and conducting first-off inspections using verniers, thread gauges and micrometres etc
- Good work ethic: you’ll have demonstrated reliability, proactivity and loyalty in previous positions
- Organised; the ability to multitask, looking after two machines, at any given time
Salary: Competitive rates of pay (up to £21 per hour depending on skill level) – plus overtime and profit related bonus. Full pay review after 3 months with pay increase based on ability.
