Join our new Distribution Centre in Birmingham for one of the most renowned customers – where opportunity meets innovation. Are you an experienced logistics leader ready to take charge of warehouse operations? As Operations Manager, you'll oversee daily performance, drive process improvements, and ensure high-quality distribution services. Working closely with other departments, you'll manage resources, support team development, and help shape a smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth, continuous, and efficient operations within the assigned department
- Monitor, manage, and continuously optimize operational costs
- Plan and secure the resources needed to execute all processes within the area of responsibility
- Contribute to budget planning, ensure adherence to budget assumptions, and set and support the achievement of departmental goals
- Lead, coordinate, and develop team members while ensuring optimal allocation of staff and resources
- Maintain and further develop warehousing and distribution processes
- Ensure expected quality standards and service levels are consistently met
- Initiate and implement improvement projects as well as develop new standards and procedures
- Prepare, analyze, and report on departmental performance and process metrics
- Represent and promote a positive employer image through daily leadership practice
- Further develop the department in alignment with the company’s long-term strategic objectives

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment
- Strong analytical thinking and understanding of business planning and performance metrics
- Proven ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee operational issues
- Good communication skills and a hands-on, proactive approach to warehouse management
- Excellent leadership skills with personal integrity and strong team motivation
