The QRI Investment Services team is part of the Asset Management Compliance, Risk and Business Operations (CRBO) team, providing daily operational support to the Quantitative Research & Investments (QRI) team. This role is based in London and part of a global team. This role will have responsibility for tasks and functions supporting investment professionals. The primary focus will be on the daily investment operations tasks supporting the Active Quant portfolios and beginning of day process, and will include daily data reconciliations, and trade flow monitoring. The role will also support investment process data management, including oversight of key data inputs used across the investment lifecycle, and ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. This includes partnering with technology and data teams to resolve data issues, improve transparency, and enhance data controls supporting portfolio construction processes. The role will require collaboration with various groups across Fidelity, and alignment with the portfolio management teams to support their daily needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of all aspects of the quantitative investment process, including data inputs, data validation and workflows required for the portfolio construction process.
  • Support daily investment process workflows, including data validation & cash management.
  • Develop workflow documentation and desktop procedures, and ensure processes alignment.
  • Support business priority changes and new requests.
  • Build and cultivate relationships across multiple internal teams, including Compliance, Technology, Product, and Trading.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years working experience in financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Familiarity with database and Python/SQL concepts.
  • Comfortable working with investors and a passion for learning various investment processes.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive workflows.
  • Project management skills; experience contributing to and/or managing projects with multiple stakeholders and new processes.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortable in an environment of shifting priorities.
  • Analytic skills allowing you to perform various data analyses.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking the initiative and owning the outcome.
  • Familiarity with investment or operations in Equity and Fixed Income asset classes.
  • Provide leadership for local capabilities supporting QRI investment professionals.

The teams work together to support Asset Management’s strategic goals while being the best partner to the business to protect our clients via proactive compliance monitoring, risk oversight and strategic business planning.
