About the team
Strategic Partnership Initiatives primarily focuses on developing the commercial relationship with Fidelity Investments (FMR). This is an increasingly important relationship to FIL that spans across multiple departments. It starts with ensuring that our clients are able to access the best of Fidelity across traditional and non-traditional asset classes. We have structured a Programme of work around this ambition. Delivering on this premise involves working with distribution, marketing, client service, product, operations, legal / compliance and finance to enable us to grow the business effectively. The team works with senior management within FIL and FMR to ensure that strategy is set, delivered at requisite pace and effectively communicated.
About your role
The role will be directly supporting the Head of Strategic Partnership Initiatives, and involve the creation of and implementation of strategic programmes aligned to growing revenue through Fidelity’s commercial relationships. You will be working closely with distribution within FIL and across FMR’s/Geode’s partnership programme executives. Some areas of the role will include (but are not limited to):
-
FIL/FMR Strategic Programmme: Accountable for leading and driving key elements of the FIL/FMR Strategic Programme. Operating within a weekly project cadence and quarterly Accountable Executive governance, the role is responsible for shaping programme direction, coordinating senior‑level inputs, and ensuring high‑quality, coherent updates across multiple departments. This includes setting expectations, influencing stakeholders, and providing clear, confident communication across FIL.
-
Own and lead the design and delivery of a programme of work focused on the commercial relationship with Geode. This includes setting strategic objectives, aligning distribution strategy and client needs, and overseeing effective communication and collaboration between the two organisations to drive agreed commercial outcomes.
-
Provide business management, insight, analysis and communication by drawing on multiple FIL systems (e.g. Salesforce and Finance platforms). Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform senior decision‑making and support distribution and commercial strategy.
-
Take accountability for effective cross‑functional relationship management to support a holistic client service model leveraging FMR’s investment capabilities. Act as an escalation point for complex client or distribution issues, working closely with Distribution and Project Management to prioritise, resolve and drive issues through to delivery.
-
Lead the preparation and positioning of programme materials, insights and recommendations for senior governance forums, including FIL’s Global Operating Committee, Quarterly Business Reviews and Global Distribution Leadership meetings, ensuring clarity, impact and alignment with strategic priorities.
About you
-
Strong analytical capability with the ability to synthesise insight from multiple systems and data sources and apply sound judgement to support strategic and commercial decisions.
-
Proven experience leading programmes of work, including delivery ownership, senior stakeholder engagement and governance management across multiple functions.
-
Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to shape and present clear, impactful messages for executive and committee‑level audiences.
-
Confident operator with a leadership mindset, able to set direction, influence outcomes and work autonomously in a complex, matrix environment.
-
Comfortable managing a broad and evolving remit, balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on problem solving as required.
-
Proactive, accountable and detail‑focused, with a strong sense of ownership for quality, delivery and outcomes.
-
Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with practical experience using Gen AI tools to enhance analysis, insight and senior‑level communications.
