About your team
The CAO Operating Model team is part of Fidelity’s Global Platform Solutions (GPS) business, with a vital role in supporting the design and implementation of key strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing how GPS operates. Combining key capabilities in strategy, governance, business intelligence and change delivery, we aim to drive strong accountability and work smarter to get things done more effectively. The team is helping to transform the way GPS colleagues work through facilitating cross-team collaboration, ensuring we meet customer needs, deliver our strategy, and achieve sustainable profitability, through empowered, high performing teams. To complement our busy team, we are seeking a Transformation Engagement Manager to help embed the necessary changes.
About your role
We are seeking an experienced leader to drive engagement across GPS, supporting our Agile transformation journey. This includes:
- Driving understanding of all parts of our operating model, proactively engaging with stakeholders and creating plans for effective communication, training and feedback across GPS.
- Informing the operating model design and delivery with a human‑centred approach to change management.
- Championing agility across GPS and Fidelity, acting as a role model for others.
- Partnering with key teams (e.g. Agile Coaches, Value Management Office, Design Council) for a joined‑up engagement approach and strategy leading to successful adoption of our operating model and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Transformation Engagement Strategy
- Define and lead the Operating Model Transformation engagement strategy, working across GPS stakeholders and teams to understanding their needs, concerns and aspirations.
- Plan and organise engagement events aimed at supporting a change mindset and desired behaviours at all levels across the organisation e.g. communications, workshops, training, webinars.
- Partner with all invested teams to support an integrated training and learning approach.
- Create a feedback loop to drive the right outcomes in implementing the operating model, with informed insights to help adapt plans and modify the approach.
Inform GPS Operating Model Design
- Inform design and delivery approach for the GPS operating model, focusing on people impact, influencing decisions to enable more robust adoption.
- Provide guidance to teams on the influence of cultural aspects driving the transformation roadmap.
- Align with Learning and Development, HR, and other interested teams on organisational design and role definition.
- Define metrics to measure adoption and successes, track and report progress and risks, escalating where appropriate.
Champion GPS Agility
- Effectively communicate and advocate agreed agile principles, practices and ways of working across the organisation.
- Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset in day‑to‑day interactions.
- Act as a change agent, driving awareness and understanding of our agile operating model and continually seek feedback to inform progress and make improvements.
About you
- In‑depth knowledge of Agile concepts and frameworks with practical experience in one or more scaled Agile approaches (Scrum of Scrums, Spotify model, LeSS, Nexus, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, etc.)
- An understanding of the skills needed in a transformation engagement role and the challenges you may face in a large, complex multi‑national organisation.
- Demonstrate hands‑on experience performing various engagement activities as a significant part of a previous role.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, comfortable being front and centre of discussions relating to engagement strategy.
- Strong listening and influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down and across the organization.
- Innovative and creative thinking to solve problems and get things done with the ability to break down complexity into more easily understood ideas and actions.
- Team player with the flexibility to work independently or partner with others to work across the organisation to achieve the right outcomes.
