The Fixed Income Investment Directing team supports the development and growth of Fidelity’s Fixed Income business by helping to commercialise the firm’s investment capabilities and solutions. The team represents the fixed income group to prospective and existing clients, reports on portfolios, promotes thought leadership, contributes to the development of new capabilities in response to investor demand, and produces marketing materials to support sales activity. The team brings together strong bond market expertise, deep and evolving knowledge of portfolio strategies, and the ability to communicate these effectively across a range of channels, including direct client engagement where appropriate.
About your role
With a solid background in financial markets and our industry, and a grounding in delivering on client needs, you will be able to demonstrate you have the following core skills and competencies:
- Ability to articulate clearly the key sales points of a capability or client solution
- Ability to connect client needs with investment capabilities and solutions
- Ability to recognise evolving client demand and contribute to discussions on opportunities, risks and competitive positioning
- Ability to communicate investment strategies clearly and effectively to a range of audiences
- Ability to build constructive relationships across investment teams, distribution and other stakeholders
- Ability to influence and collaborate across different groups to support business objectives
- Sound judgement, professionalism, and ability to operate effectively with an appropriate level of independence
- Good investment experience within fixed income, ideally including exposure to Emerging Market Debt strategies
- Ability to operate across a range of markets, clients and business needs, with flexibility to shift focus as required
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong writing and presentation skills
