Department Description

The Asset Management Platform Delivery function provides Operational and IT services to the Fidelity International Asset Management business, globally. These include the development and support of business processes that underpin our investment and distribution teams across the globe.

Purpose of your role

Accountable for driving the delivery of market data consolidation initiatives across the Asset Management landscape. This role translates strategy into execution— orchestrating delivery across multiple teams to reduce vendor and platform sprawl, simplify architecture, and deliver measurable cost and efficiency outcomes. Success requires managing complex dependencies, and ensuring initiatives are delivered through to production, adoption and decommissioning. Orchestrate migration of market data platforms, feeds and services into a consolidated service overseeing cutover, validation and parallel run strategies. Ensure decommissioning of legacy systems and prevent duplication. Drive adoption of pragmatic, scalable data patterns (ingestion, distribution, entitlements) partnering with architecture. Ensure that the market data team are involved in each stage of the design, implementation and ongoing run in order to safeguard the necessary controls and auditability of our supplier contracts. The role will be responsible for developing the roadmap and have the necessary skills to convey this to the broader business through effective communication of the approach, risks and benefits. The successful individual will also need to have demonstrated successful delivery of large-scale change, whilst managing globally distributed teams.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Excellent global relationship management skills and proven stakeholder management.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems in a structured manner whilst working under pressure.
  • Proven global programme delivery experience.
  • Ability to lead strategic thinking with an understanding of when and how to take calculated risks.
  • Proven experience with identifying and mitigating risk from change.
  • Extensive experience within financial services and understanding of financial markets.
  • Proven experience of understanding end-to-end operational processes, technology and infrastructure underpinning a financial services business, including in depth knowledge of:
    • Client Experience
    • Operations
    • Data
    • Risk
    • Regulated environments
    • Technology incl. Architecture
    • Project management
  • Natural confidence, drive and enthusiasm, with the ability to impart a sense of urgency to the programme team.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and respond to emerging technologies within the marketplace.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead by influencing teams without direct authority in a matrix environment.

At Fidelity we are operating a flexible hybrid working approach. As the role will require collaboration with teams in different regions, the role can be remote and has the option to come into one of our offices. In the past, we have gathered the team together for workshops in one location. Fidelity is an equal opportunity employer and places high value on diversity and inclusion. We do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attributes, including race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital or veteran status, pregnancy or disability, or any other basis protected under applicable law.
