About your role

Fidelity ISS business is continually evolving in response to market demands, client expectations, and the increasing sophistication of investment strategies. This role sits within the ISS Delivery team, which partners closely with our front office investment risk teams to deliver change that enhances investment decision-making and risk management capabilities. We are seeking a Business Analyst with deep subject matter expertise in Investment Risk and experience working directly with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Construction and Investment Risk Teams to support portfolio construction and analytics processes. The successful candidate will bring front office exposure and act as a trusted advisor - partnering with business stakeholders to shape how technology can best support the growth of our businesses.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting in-depth high quality business analysis, including detailed requirements, process mapping, and documentation to support the delivery of effective and scalable technology solutions.
  • Acting as a domain SME in Investment Risk and partnering with business leaders to shape and prioritise initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with technology counterparts (architects, engineers, and other business analysts) and operational teams across geographical locations to deliver high impact solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Driving enhancements in investment risk analytics, performance measurement, and attribution processes.
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops and providing strategic insights, thought leadership and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Staying on top of industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in risk and analytics tools.
  • Supporting the development of a centre of excellence in analysis by mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices.

About you

You are an experienced business analyst with a strong background in delivering technology change within front office environments. You are comfortable engaging with investment professionals, translating complex requirements, and driving delivery in partnership with technology teams. You:

  • Bring strong experiences as a Business Analyst within Asset Management, ideally supporting front office investment risk and/or analytics teams.
  • Have understanding in investment risk concepts (such as: VaR, tracking error, duration risk), performance measurement frameworks, and attribution methodologies (e.g. Brinson, Factor-based) across various asset classes.
  • Have familiarity with tools such as MSCI Risk Manager, MSCI BarraOne and FactSet.
  • Understand key operational challenges in Asset Management such as ABOR/IBOR, benchmarks, look-through logic and instrument modelling.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of stakeholder engagement and influencing senior decision-makers.
  • Take on a collaborative approach, with experience working across functions including technology, data, and operations.
  • Are experienced working in Agile environments with teams scattered globally.
  • Have a relevant degree level education with professional qualifications (CFA, FRM) preferred.
