Fiddlie is a leading London-based prototyping and product development lab specialising in hardware engineering and early-stage tech development. We work with startups and individuals to bring innovative ideas to life, offering a range of services including product development, design for manufacture, software development, and tech consulting.

We are hiring a talented Electronic Engineer to join our team in the UK, working from our head office and lab in London (nearest station is Limehouse on the DLR). We are looking for an ambitious professional looking for a unique opportunity to grow with our company as we scale up. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative hardware solutions across various industries. Compensation

Salary range is Β£35,000 to 40,000 based on experience, with potential promotions linked to biannual reviews and clear opportunity for progression as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic prototypes and products
  • Contribute to PCB design and assembly using our in-house equipment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on product development projects
  • Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing
  • Help with hardware troubleshooting and debugging
  • Contribute to documentation and technical reports
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Strong foundation in electronic circuit design and analysis
  • Familiarity with PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad)
  • Advanced knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Python)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Enthusiasm for learning and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Industry experience in R&D
  • Experience with 3D CAD software
  • Knowledge of IoT technologies and wireless communication protocols
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining)
