Fidarsi are delighted to be partnering with this growing Financial Services business based in the City of London, in helping to find a Finance Business Analyst to assist on a number of Finance Technology based projects. As the business grows they are looking to enhance and upgrade their Finance Systems suite and are looking for someone with a good track record of Finance and Technology to help them do so.
Reporting into the Finance Director, and working closely with the Financial Controller and Head of FP&A, key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team to analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Develop and implement process enhancements using Excel automation tools, including advanced formulas, macros, and VBA, or by leveraging existing platforms such as NetSuite.
- Support finance system upgrades and enhancements (e.g., ERP integrations, automation tools), including participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) and preparation of related documentation.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to the design and implementation of streamlined, scalable, and automated solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across systems and processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Circa 5+ years of experience in a finance related systems analyst / finance systems related role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (preferably IFRS).
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with large financial datasets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and general ledger functionality.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SQL / Power BI / Tableau, or other reporting tools is a must have.
You will be / have:
- Part-qualified, fully qualified accountant or QBE Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a regulated or financial services environment (ideally).
- Exposure to automation tools, data analytics, or process improvement methodologies.
- 1 Months notice max.
