We are supporting a global, fast-scaling and regulated business to appoint an Interim Head of People to partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team during a critical period of business transformation. This role requires a commercially minded People leader who can operate both strategically and operationally, bringing structure, clarity and pace to people strategy, reward, and change priorities.
The Interim Head of People will play a key role in strengthening the People function while supporting ongoing business change. This will include improving workforce effectiveness, simplifying reward structures, and ensuring leadership capability and people frameworks are fit for the next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities- Partner the CEO and senior leadership team on people strategy, workforce effectiveness and leadership capability
- Provide pragmatic advice on complex people matters
- Support executive decision making during a period of change
- Lead and support business change and transformation initiatives
- Drive structural improvements to support scalability and clearer accountability
- Support restructures, team evolution and operating model changes where required
- Bring structure and discipline to change planning and communication
- Review and simplify existing reward frameworks including deferred compensation arrangements and long-term incentive plans (LTIPs)
- Support consistent and commercially sound remuneration decisions
- Strengthen governance and clarity around compensation processes
- Ensure core people processes are robust, pragmatic and scalable
- Strengthen policies and governance appropriate for a regulated environment
- Support leadership capability across performance management and employee relations
- Provide leadership to the People function
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex people matters
- Balance strategic input with practical delivery
We are seeking an experienced interim People leader who is comfortable stepping into complexity and delivering impact quickly. You will likely bring:
- Previous experience as Head of People, HR Director, or equivalent interim leadership role
- Demonstrated experience leading change and transformation initiatives
- Experience reviewing or implementing executive reward, deferred compensation, or LTIP frameworks
- Strong experience in business design or transformation environments
- Experience in regulated, complex, or high-growth businesses
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with strong stakeholder management capability
- Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
