HR Manager – International Bank

Northwest London

Circa £65,000- £75,000

I’m working with a leading international bank to recruit an experienced and hands-on HR Manager.This is a pivotal role within a highly professional and regulated environment, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a people agenda that supports both business goals and a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Reporting directly to senior management, you’ll lead a small HR team, ensuring the smooth delivery of HR operations and the successful execution of strategic initiatives across the UK entity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take full ownership of the HR agenda, providing both strategic direction and hands-on operational leadership
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver effective people solutions and advise on all aspects of people management
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law, HR policies, and regulatory frameworks including SMCR
  • Lead and mentor a team of four, fostering development, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery
  • Oversee key HR processes including employee relations, performance management, compensation reviews, onboarding, and learning initiatives
  • Support the implementation of global HR programmes locally, adapting them to meet UK-specific requirements
  • Partner with leadership to drive engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives across the business
  • Maintain robust HR governance and ensure alignment with the bank’s global values and standards

About you:

  • Strong HR generalist experience withinfinancial services or banking
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice
  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment (SMCR experience essential)
  • Confident managing a small team and providing hands-on operational support
  • Skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing with credibility
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and commercially minded – able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
  • Thrives in a collaborative, international environment where professionalism and integrity are key
