Interim Finance Director | £700–£900 per day | £180k FTC | 6-month Contract (Potential T-P)

Fidarsi are delighted to be partnering with a leading international Financial Services & Payments organisation undergoing an exciting period of growth. We are seeking an exceptional Interim Finance Director to lead UK financial governance, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.

This is a high-impact role working closely with the Group CFO, UK ExCo, Board, and Group Finance teams — ideal for a seasoned finance leader with deep experience in regulated environments.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Hold SMF3 – Executive Director responsibility
• Act as CASS Oversight Officer and Safeguarding Accountable Owner
• Lead UK prudential regulatory compliance
• Manage external audit for UK entities
• Oversee statutory financial accounts preparation and sign-off
• Deliver financial performance and regulatory reporting to ExCo, Boards, and Group
• Lead and develop a small team (1 direct report)
• Operate effectively within a matrix environment with shared service support

👤 Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with:

• Strong experience preparing and signing off statutory accounts
• A background in regulatory reporting within Payments, Banking, or Financial Services
• Experience preparing and approving regulatory submissions
• Exposure to FX and derivatives (accounting + regulatory aspects desirable)
• A track record in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
• Ability to provide insightful, action-oriented analysis to senior stakeholders
• Confidence navigating a matrix environment with distributed teams

📆 Contract Details

• 6-month initial contract with potential temp-to-perm
• £700–£900 per day (or £180,000 FTC equivalent)
• Hybrid – London-based
