The Opportunity
It is an exciting time to work for FICO. We have been named a leader in the growing market of digital decisioning platforms. In this role you will join a growing team of engineers implementing the next generation of platform services. You will need to be an experienced back end or full-stack engineer interested in the challenges of creating and deploying production-grade, customer-facing cloud services based on the latest analytic decisioning technologies. Your work will have significant visibility and be crucial to delivering the growth goals of the business.
What You’ll Contribute
- Significant designing and coding of our market leading platform micro-services.
- Build in quality and automated testing at all stages of development and deployment.
- Adhere to the highest levels of agile scrum development and quality practices while delivering stories to the Definition of Done.
- Understand and apply our corporate architectural strategy and standards whilst solving complex integration challenges.
- Participate in the complete lifecycle of your software services from inception to L3 customer support.
- Embrace a team culture of excellence and collaborate with a global network of platform development teams.
What We’re Seeking
- Extensive experience in a hands-on Java engineer role developing commercial software.
- Solid experience of Scrum and associated agile development processes and methodologies.
- Solid experience of understanding and delivering to complex product requirements and relating development goals to client needs.
- Experience developing cloud services using Helm, Kubernetes and AWS would be an advantage.
- Experience with continuous delivery and trunk-based development would be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
