Within the UK and Ireland, our engineers and consultants are involved in some of the most innovative energy projects, providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, owners, and operators. Projects in development, construction, or operation in the UK and Ireland include:
- ~60 major thermal power plants across the waste, biomass, and conventional power sectors
- ~10 GWh of battery storage
- ~5 GW of solar
- ~7 GW of on-shore and off-shore wind
- ~5 GWh of pumped storage hydro projects
- ~20 carbon capture projects, aiming to capture and permanently sequestrate more than 5 million tonnes of CO2 per annum
We have over 180 employees operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow, and from sites spread across the UK and Ireland. We are now looking to recruit an experienced engineering planner, in a permanent capacity, to support ongoing project roles in the delivery of major power generation infrastructure projects and support the continuous improvement of the services we provide to our clients.
We are looking for a high calibre candidate with most of the following skills or experience:
- A HND or bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering subject.
- Willing to work in a permanent staff role, full time hours.
- Living within 1 hour's commute of south Manchester, and our Stockport office.
- Experience gained with medium to large industrial or energy projects.
- Development and analysis of complex project programmes and schedules.
- Expert user of project management software including Primavera P6.
- Skilled with probability analysis e.g. Monte Carlo and Primavera risk analysis.
- Best practices for assessing, recording, and reporting progress including leading and lagging KPI’s.
- Critical path and delay analysis techniques.
- Awareness of claims management and standard forms of contracts.
- A competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.
- Have a full right to live and work in the UK without any visa restrictions.
- A current driving licence for occasional travel to project sites in the UK and Ireland.
