Senior Electrical Engineer – Renewable sector
Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd is a leading technical consultancy with a reputation built on over 34 years of successful projects in the UK and Ireland. Our purpose is to facilitate the investment and delivery of energy infrastructure projects that positively influence the energy transition.
We have over 175 employees and are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting a senior electrical engineer, to be based out of our Stockport office with UK and some EU travel.
We Are Looking For
- a good degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering.
- significant experience gained, post university, of electrical power generation/transmission infrastructure to include design, project management and commissioning.
- experience in HV, MV and LV, embedded generation, protection circuits, grid connections, HV and LV switchgear, substations, switchyards and coordinating with UK DNOs.
- deals professionally with external and internal clients, attends project meetings, writes and delivers high quality technical reports and models, etc.
- prior experience with the use of electrical engineering sector software.
- the undertaking of feasibility, due diligence and design reviews.
- excellent understanding of health, safety and welfare within engineering.
- witnessing of both site and factory acceptance testing.
- the provision of site-based construction monitoring in the UK or Ireland.
- able to work as part of a wider engineering team and also to operate autonomously as required.
