Electrical Engineer/Project Manager – Stockport Based
Join us at Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd to manage and deliver high‑impact renewable energy projects from our Stockport office. This permanent, full‑time position reports to the Team Leader and involves UK, Ireland and some EU travel.

What We Are Looking For
- A good degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards it.
- Project delivery experience on renewable projects (solar PV, BESS, wind, waste‑to‑energy, hydrogen, carbon capture, gas‑fired).
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical infrastructure (EHV-to-LV, embedded generation, protection circuits, UK grid connections, HV/LV switchgear, substations, coordination with UK DNOs).
- Excellent communication skills, including client meetings, technical reports and model delivery.
- Awareness of health, safety and welfare in engineering.
- Experience with site/factory acceptance testing and fault assessment of fabricated items.
- Capability to monitor construction onsite and work autonomously as part of a wider team.
