Fichtner Consulting Engineers Ltd is a well-established technical consultancy and a part of the global Fichtner Group providing intellectual and engineering services to financial institutions, developers, and owner-operators. We employ over 175 professionals and operate from offices in Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, and Manchester.
We work on a wide range of energy generation technologies. Candidates who have excelled in the development and delivery of civil/structural elements of power projects in Ireland will be of interest to us. This role is permanent in nature and will be based out of our central Belfast office.
We are looking for:
- a good university degree in civil engineering;
- able to work in both Ireland and in the UK;
- significant project management experience gained during the design, development, or construction phases of large-scale renewable and/or thermal power projects.
- prior experience with the undertaking of feasibility studies and design reviews;
- knowledge of standard contract forms and their applicability to the construction of energy projects;
- able to read and interpret engineering drawings, design specifications and functional descriptions;
- prior experience in the production, and delivery of, professional technical reports for clients;
- the ability to evaluate, explain and simplify complex technical issues;
- possess a full driving licence and have the willingness to travel both in Ireland and the UK.
