As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our team by recruiting a Senior Consultant, mechanically qualified and with extensive thermal power plant experience, to be based from our Stockport (or Glasgow) offices.

  • A good degree in Mechanical Engineering (or close equivalent field), ideally a Chartered Engineer
  • Significant experience with the selection/sizing of rotating equipment such as fans, pumps, compressors, turbomachinery, generators and their auxiliary systems
  • Experience with QA procedures and Inspection and Test Plans for new or refurbished rotating plant
  • Practical experience gained in operation, maintenance, commissioning or construction roles
  • Experience with rotating plant efficiency, reliability, performance monitoring and failure investigations
  • Thorough knowledge of the relevant standards
  • Awareness of good practices for preservation, planned and preventative maintenance requirements
  • Good understanding of process safety principles
  • Strong analytical and excellent communication skills
  • Full right to work in the UK with visa restrictions
  • The ability and willingness to travel both in the UK and occasionally overseas
