Leading a team of operational planners in the day-to-day management of the Hyperfast Network across NI and GB. This includes planning for additional capacity, designing new customer connections, and responding to requests to move the network to meet private or public build schemes.
What will you be doing?
- Reviewing completed build designs to assure the suitability of the network design for cost-efficient first-time customer connection.
- Providing leadership within the planning team with direct management of resource and skill levels within the team in order to meet its key customer and business KPIs.
- Using a people-faced approach to work collaboratively to overcome operational challenges and periods of flexible volumes.
- Ensuring the team delivers high-quality design packs to Installation Contract Partners to meet the SLA and Timescales.
- Responding to queries and information requests, at both a team and managerial level, from Operational teams and the Installation Contract Partners.
- Managing the third-party wayleave process for new customer connections to the Hyperfast network.
- Responsibility for budgetary review, utilizing the most cost-effective solutions on all new customer connections and network rearrangement design works.
- Collaborating across both the planning and operational teams to design and operate efficient processes with the goal of minimizing customers' Time To Install.
- Ensuring all designs meet both Fibrus and Openreach Design and PIA specifications and are fully compliant with Fibrus HSEQ policies.
- Supporting a team ethos that recognizes individual skills and talents with a strong focus on everyone's continual growth and development.
- Ensuring that requests from external parties for Network Rearrangements on the Hyperfast Network are met and completed in accordance with SLA and with the correct level of cost control.
What will you bring?
- Proven people management and leadership experience working with multiskilled teams (3+ years).
- Effective communication skills to ensure quality interaction with your team, the client, and management.
- Track record of delivering against customer-driven metrics and/or SLA schedules.
- Civils, Cabling, and Network Activation experience coupled with good technical knowledge of fibre networks.
- A working knowledge of Fibre PON networks specific to customer connections.
- Experience of working to budgets and cost controls to drive value for money.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of using GIS systems such as: ESRI Programmes (ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online), QGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth, etc.
