The Role in a Nutshell
We are looking for more than just a "policy enforcer." In Fibrus’ P&C Team, we need strategic enablers and trusted advisors. As we integrate our group entities (Fibrus, Hyperfast, Viberoptix) and move through a period of cultural transformation and alignment ("Different Paths, Same Destination"), we need someone who can operate at pace. You will be the "first call" for managers, guiding them through complex people challenges, driving high performance, and helping us anchor our culture across the business. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, acts with urgency, and balances care for people with commercial reality.
How We Work in People & Culture (Our Operating Principles)
You will be joining a team that operates by four key principles. We expect you to embody these every day:
- Value Driven: You ground your decisions in our culture and values, not just the policy suite.
- Colleague-Centric: You build processes and solutions that work for people, not just for compliance.
- Commercially Adept: You understand that P&C is here to help the business grow, deliver, and remain profitable.
- Solutions Focused: You don’t just flag problems or forward emails; you bring solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
True Business Partnering
- Act as the expert advisor to your stakeholder group. You should be coaching managers to lead their teams, not doing their job for them.
- Enable robust performance management. Support leaders to have direct, fair, and evidence-based conversations about capability and conduct.
- Challenge stakeholders when necessary. If a decision clashes with our values or commercial goals, you need the confidence to call it out.
Driving Culture & Engagement
- Champion our "Different Paths, Same Destination" programme. You will help embed our values (Make a Difference, Be Yourself, Work Together, Be Tenacious) into everyday life.
- Analyse engagement data (from CultureAmp/surveys) to identify hotspots and work with managers on action plans that stick - not just "tick-box" exercises.
Operational Excellence & Data
- We are moving to a self-service, data-driven model (using systems like Personio). You will champion this shift, encouraging managers to own their data so we can focus on value-add work.
- Own your metrics. You should know your business area’s attrition, absence, and engagement stats inside out, and you should already have a plan to address issues as you see them.
Change Management & Colleague Relations
- Lead on complex ER cases (Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence) with a focus on fairness, consistency, and speed. We do not let cases drift.
- Support organisational design and restructure projects as we continue to evolve the Group.
What You Need to Bring
- Urgency & Ownership: This is critical. We need someone who grips an issue from start to finish. If a case lands on your desk, you own it until it’s resolved.
- Commercial Awareness: You understand how P&C levers (retention, attendance, productivity) impact the bottom line.
- Radical Candour: You can deliver tough messages with empathy and clarity. You are comfortable telling a manager (or a team member) what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear.
- Tech Savvy: You are comfortable using modern HRIS (Personio, SuccessFactors) and using data to tell a story.
- Experience: CIPD qualified with proven experience handling complex ER and change management in a fast-paced environment – sales or call centre environments are preferable.
