Your mission
Fibrus is looking for an experienced Head of Procurement who wants to jump in head-first and help scale the Procurement Department in a mission-driven company experiencing rapid growth. This role is for someone who is looking to make a real investment in their career. Reporting to Head of Contractor & Supplier Management, you will have considerable procurement experience from within a leading organisation and a natural flair for influencing suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will have knowledge of comprehensive tendering exercises with demonstrable examples of successful negotiations.

What experience and qualifications do we think are important?
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience working with ERP system (transactional inputting and accurate reporting)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, reporting, ERP systems
- Experience managing procurement projects exceeding £10 million
- The ability to lead and inspire a team of procurement professionals to achieve their maximum potential & drive savings across the portfolio
- The ability to work as part of a team and own initiative
- An analytical mind-set: comfortable manipulating large volumes of data
- Building strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? (Not limited to)
- Leading a team of procurement professionals and administrators with the aim of achieving cost advantages in competitive markets and ensuring a constant supply of products for build.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies for specific categories, in compliance with procurement procedures and financial regulations.
- Carefully assess responsibilities, risks, and liabilities associated with all procurement activities and produce mitigation processes where/when required.
- Collaborate with Procurement Services and other purchasing staff to optimize procurement processes.
- Oversee the management of procurement processes and documentation to ensure compliance for auditing/financial requirements.
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure funding availability for procurement activities through various government contracts.
- Devise, develop, and execute procurement-led transformation programs and cost reduction initiatives.
- End to end procurement process management, from sourcing and e-tendering to negotiation and contract management.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documentation and negotiate with preferred suppliers.
- Manage supplier engagement throughout the procurement process.
- Organize and participate in selection panels, providing formal records for audit purposes.
- Evaluate bids and capture performance data for contract extensions or retendering.
- Oversee contract extensions, ensuring policy adherence and best value.
- Reporting to Head of Contractor & Supplier Management
- Deputising for Procurement and Supply Chain Director in their absence for any meetings or SLT requirements.
- Engage with Key suppliers to get industry leading technologies in collaboration with build Infrastructure team to ensure Fibrus maintains a competitive advantage.
- Carry out supplier visits to manufacturing facilities where appropriate to ensure compliance with company policies are adhered to.

This role is for someone who is looking to make a real investment in their career. Working directly alongside their Line Manager and the wider Procurement & Supply Chain Team, they will be required to help develop processes within the department and champion them to the wider business. You will be a point of contact for our internal stakeholders for any requests for improvements/processes and a channel for information between teams.
