This is a fantastic opportunity to join the engineering team in Hyperfast as we continue to grow. Working within a team, you will focus on optical and electrical network connections, supporting with expanding our current network and working closely with our suppliers and contractors.
You'll be the person to attend and resolve faults within the fibre network whether that is at a customer's premise or within the core network. You will conduct effective site surveys and deal with any power related issues whilst maintaining multi-vendor equipment deployed in the various networks. You'll be responsible for scheduled maintenance and identifying potential issues whilst offering solutions to the Network Plan & Build Teams.
- Install new hardware equipment from a multitude of vendors to support Network expansion.
- Commission new hardware equipment.
- Analyse all service affecting faults and see these through to a satisfactory resolution.
- Ensure work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Quality assess equipment installation to ensure standards are adhered to.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Strong field engineering experience within a telecommunications environment, with access rights and process knowledge.
- The ability to manage your own workload.
- Strong Splicing & Testing experience.
- Previous experience of working with GPON networks is preferred however not essential as training can be provided.
- Able to work on a rota basis, Monday to Friday between the hours of 0700 & 1900 with some on-call work.
