We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and improve the systems and processes that support our customers, colleagues, and wider business operations. This role will combine technical problem-solving, programming, systems analysis, and project delivery to create practical solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and user experience across the organisation.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help identify operational challenges, translate requirements into effective technical solutions, and support the delivery of systems that make a measurable impact for Fibrus customers and internal teams.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Develop functional requirements, identify operational issues, and recommend effective business solutions to enhance existing systems.
  • Produce technical documentation, including Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Specifications, and Test Plans.
  • Design, test, and implement technology solutions to improve system functionality.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and document process flows.
  • Conduct research and assess hardware/software needs, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all changes align with best practices and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Operate within an Agile SCRUM environment, contributing effectively to the agile team.
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, acting as a bridge between business users, development teams, and vendors.
  • Establish and implement best practices across the business.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

  • Minimum 3 years as a Software Engineer / Programmer or DevOps Engineer, ideally within a telecommunications or infrastructure environment.
  • 3 years experience in 1 of the following Programming Languages - Typescript, Python, C#.
  • Cloud Platform experience - Azure or equivalent - Databases, functions, static web apps, enterprise applications.
  • Advantageous - knowledge of Microsoft D365 and processes, Database, Docker, Linux.
  • Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, able to assess both systems and software requirements.
  • Excellent communicator, skilled at translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting business processes, conducting root cause analysis, and providing systems support.
  • Familiarity with tools for data modeling and class diagramming, and proficiency in manual/automated recording tools.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices, security standards, and processes to support efficient systems operations.
