Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) — International Payments / FX Hybrid (UK, Marylebone and Beaconsfield - Buckinghamshire) · Part-time (1–2 days/week, with scope to grow)
About Fiberpay
Founded in 2021, Fiberpay is a specialist currency exchange provider focused on property and investment-related transactions. We've traded over $1.4bn in client funds and built a 5-star reputation across the real estate sector, including a partnership with one of London's largest estate agencies. We serve a global client base, delivering substantial FX savings alongside a high-touch, customised service for clients managing international financial transactions. We're now entering an exciting next phase of growth — including an important strategic and regulatory milestone — and are looking for a commercially sharp finance leader to help guide us through it.
The Role
This is a fractional, fully remote role starting at one to two days per week, with genuine scope to increase to three or more days over the next 6–12 months, and potential to grow into a full-time position as the business scales. As Fractional CFO, you'll own Fiberpay's financial strategy and ensure sound, sustainable financial management. Working closely with senior leadership, you will:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning aligned to business objectives
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards
- Partner on strategic initiatives, evaluate financial risks and opportunities, and optimise pricing and margin structures
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners
- Build and mentor the finance function, implement process improvements, and deliver clear, actionable insights to support decision‑making
What We're Looking For
- Proven senior finance leadership experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or foreign exchange
- Strong financial planning skills across budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management
- Expertise in financial statements and reporting, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly
- Advanced analytical skills to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support data‑driven decisions
- Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to international payments and currency exchange
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment and collaborate across distributed teams
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with a focus on transparency and integrity
- A professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CPA) and/or an advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field (preferred)
Highly Desirable
- Experience within an FCA-regulated business in the payments or e-money space, particularly supporting a firm through licensing or authorisation.
If you're a hands-on finance leader who enjoys building and wants to shape the financial future of a fast-growing fintech, we'd love to hear from you.
