We are seeking a Sub Agent to support the management of small to medium civil engineering projects, or assist on larger schemes. You will ensure projects are delivered to client objectives while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, environmental compliance, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management
- Manage commercial performance and successful delivery of projects
- Produce and monitor project programmes
- Interpret drawings and specifications, providing engineering support
- Ensure staff, subcontractors, and visitors are appropriately inducted and qualified
- Represent the company professionally to clients and stakeholders
- Produce accurate monthly reports and chair site meetings
- Ensure all as built documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain and manage project cost plans
- Maximise project value and manage project resources efficiently
- Ensure accurate records of site diaries, inspections, and resource use
- Liaise with third parties and ensure work is delivered defect-free
- Maintain compliance with legal obligations and best practice standards
- Promote safe working practices and environmental compliance
- Manage HSEQ documentation, inspections, audits, and reports

Desirable
- Working towards CEng/IEng/AMICE or equivalent
- Experience in water infrastructure projects
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator experience
- Leadership experience and service avoidance training
- Confined space training
- Appointed Person or CPCS qualification
Essential / About You
- Considerable experience in civil engineering
- Knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, design, programme, and cost management
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CSCS and SMSTS certified
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
- Full driving licence
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to challenge designs and resolve technical issues
