Are you an experienced Vehicle Mechanic looking for an exciting new challenge? We are expanding our engineering teams at Gatwick Airport and are looking for Level 3 qualified Motor Mechanics / Vehicle Technicians to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of specialist ground service equipment (GSE). Full specialist training is provided, making this a rare opportunity to develop unique skills within the aviation sector.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of airside vehicles, including aircraft tugs, towing tractors, baggage loaders, belt conveyors, passenger steps, and other specialist airport equipment. This is a hands‑on, varied role offering long‑term career progression in a highly regulated and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair GSE and airside vehicles.

Shift Pattern

About You
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential).
- Previous experience with GSE, HGVs, or plant machinery (desirable).
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Able to provide a 5‑year checkable work history (airside requirement).
- Able to pass a basic criminal record check.
