The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in architectural steelwork to join our dynamic team. This is a key position responsible for pricing tenders, analysing drawings and specifications, and preparing detailed cost estimates for bespoke architectural steelwork projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural steelwork projects.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability.
- Assist in bid submissions and contract negotiations.
- Work closely with the design, contracts, and production teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator in architectural or structural steelwork.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
