The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in architectural steelwork to join our dynamic team. This is a key position responsible for pricing tenders, analysing drawings and specifications, and preparing detailed cost estimates for bespoke architectural steelwork projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural steelwork projects.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability.
  • Assist in bid submissions and contract negotiations.
  • Work closely with the design, contracts, and production teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in architectural or structural steelwork.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field is advantageous.
