FI Facilities Management are seeking a skilled Security Operations and Systems Coordinator to join the team in a full time, permanent basis. The right candidate will support the Head of Security in delivering a resilient, effective, and forward-looking security operation across the FM portfolio. This role provides both technical and operational support, with a strong focus on CCTV system performance, security asset planning, and vendor coordination. The position ensures that security systems remain highly functional, compliant, and aligned with organisational risk and operational priorities.
A key part of the role involves creating and updating site security plans, conducting site surveys for new installations, and responding to system alerts — including visiting sites to diagnose offline cameras and carrying out necessary corrective actions such as battery replacements. The postholder will also support the management of outsourced security providers, ensuring high service standards, rapid fault resolution, and robust documentation of all security assets and activities.
This role is ideal for someone with a practical, hands-on approach who can balance fieldwork with strong administrative, compliance, and communication skills. Extensive experience with Hikvision systems is a significant advantage, helping to improve troubleshooting efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain consistency across the estate.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Create and maintain detailed security site plans, including CCTV, access control, and other physical security assets.
- Conduct on-site security surveys for new CCTV and security system installations.
- Respond to system health alerts by visiting sites to investigate offline cameras, faults, or environmental issues affecting performance.
- Perform battery replacements and basic maintenance on cameras and associated equipment.
- Support the configuration, optimisation, and routine health checks of CCTV systems, particularly Hikvision platforms.
- Manage and maintain accurate security asset registers, system drawings, and change logs.
- Process and triage CCTV footage requests, ensuring lawful handling and chain-of-custody compliance.
- Work with IT to troubleshoot network-related CCTV issues.
- Assist with commissioning, quality assurance, and verification of new installations and upgrades.
- Support the Head of Security in day-to-day management of outsourced security providers.
- Monitor provider performance, response times, and SLA compliance; escalate issues where necessary.
- Review RAMS, quotes, scopes of work, and installation documentation from contractors.
- Liaise with internal departments (FM, IT, H&S, HR, Legal) to ensure seamless security operations.
- Ensure CCTV handling is compliant with UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and internal policies.
- Produce regular reports on system uptime, offline camera events, risks, and provider performance.
- Support audits, investigations, and delivery of corrective actions.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties and the candidate could be asked to perform other tasks from across the business as and when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience RequiredEssential- Experience working with CCTV systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and basic hardware replacement.
- Ability to conduct site visits and diagnose issues related to offline cameras, power loss, or physical obstructions.
- Strong understanding of IP-based security systems (PoE, NVRs, retention, network basics).
- Experience producing or updating security site plans, drawings, or equipment layouts.
- Ability to manage and coordinate work with external contractors.
- Knowledge of CCTV evidence handling, including GDPR-compliant processes.
- Strong organisational skills, with accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Hikvision systems, including NVRs, firmware, camera configuration, and analytic functions.
- Experience with VMS platforms or other CCTV brands (Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.).
- Familiarity with British Standards relevant to CCTV and guarding (e.g., BS EN 62676, BS 7958, BS 7499, BS 7858).
- Experience in FM, corporate security, retail, or similar multi-site environments.
- SIA (Frontline or Non-Frontline) licence beneficial.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety qualification.
- Driving licence (for multi-site travel).
- 25 days holidays, plus bank holidays.
- Company Pension.
- Company Events.
