We are looking for Directors and Managing Directors to join our Global Public Affairs team to provide an exceptional service to our high-profile corporate and investor clients across sectors and a range of mandates including M&A, reputation-building and crisis. We are specifically looking for great candidates to join our pan-European (UK and EU-focused) Energy, Financial Services and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) teams, where you’ll work at the nexus of policy and business in both the UK and across Europe. Key Responsibilities:
- Policy foresight: develop and continually refresh relevant, practical and forward-looking written and oral insights for existing clients and in support of new business opportunities.
- Policy depth: serve as the senior “go-to” person for understanding and applying policy detail across your sector, staying abreast (ideally ahead of) policy and regulatory changes to inform client advice and engagement strategies.
- Relationship building: identifying, mapping and building effective relationships with senior policy, political, and regulatory stakeholders and clients.
- Client account management: lead client accounts and projects, owning relationships and driving cross-sell opportunities.
- Project and team management: lead on day-to-day team management; serve as the senior point-person for project delivery while being prepared to roll your sleeves up to ensure excellent delivery.
- New business: work hand-in-hand with the firm’s Partners to build and grow a pipeline of new clients and projects across practice areas and geographies; drive new business pitch preparation and delivery.
Necessary attributes:
- The ideal candidate will be a sector policy expert who understands commercial models and business well enough to translate how policy and regulatory change will affect investors and businesses active in the TMT, or Financial Services, or Energy sector.
- Bachelor’s level degree plus MPA, MBA, or similar policy or business-related Master’s degree.
- 8-10 years’ experience (Director) OR 10+ years’ experience (Managing Director) in government, parliament, international organisations, regulator, trade association, political party, policy-focused public affairs agency, management consultancy or strategic advisory firm.
- Candidates with direct experience working in policy in a TMT, Financial Services or Energy firm also welcome to apply.
- Significant interest and experience advising clients on UK and European policy, politics and/or regulation related to the Energy, Financial Services or TMT sector.
- Deep knowledge of the UK and EU policy making process.
- Hard working, flexible, adaptable and proactive.
- Organised, efficient, takes ownership, trusted to deliver to deadlines and cares about training and developing junior colleagues.
- Independent, clear and creative thinking, takes initiative, goes beyond the expected, spots opportunities and innovates.

Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to provide crisp, clear, logical analysis in both written and oral forms, adaptable to different audiences.
