Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
- Support, implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Support customer requirements including RCCA, business development initiatives and workshops.
- Act as a point of contact on all quality matters both internally and externally including suppliers.
- Support internal and external audit scheduling to maintain all accreditations across the business.
- Support company Red Table NCR/RCCA activities.
- Ability to review and decipher First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s).
- Act as a change agent ensuring the implementation of more robust quality controls and operating systems.
- Support and lead development of Waste Reduction & Variation Reduction practices and initiatives within the business.
Skills and experience required:
- Good understanding of the aerospace market.
- Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
- Use of inspection and measuring equipment.
- Champion / Lead continuous Improvement.
- Knowledge of AS, ISO and NADCAP standards.
- Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings.
- HNC in relevant discipline or Professional Quality Engineering qualification.
- AS9100 ISO9001 lead audit trained preferred.
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
