Responsibilities
- Carry out First Offs, In-Process, Goods Inwards and Final Inspection to customer drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and carry out FAIR’s to AS9102.
- Work towards & Support all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory rulings and processes.
- Vital/Flight Safety Part release.
- Population and Release of Vital Part Packs.
- Keep the workspace clean and organised.
- Clean and maintain the work area and equipment including tools.
- Ensure correct authorisations (training and skills) are in place and applied to carry out the role under the regulations of the QMS.
- Able to report out inspection findings to senior management upon request.
- Working closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve complex problems.
Skills and experience required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understand GD&T.
- FAIR creation/completion to AS9102.
- Indentured Apprenticeship (Preferable) or equivalent.
- Familiar with the inspection of complex aerospace parts (Preferred).
- Familiar with the use/programming of relevant equipment, CMM’s, Faro Arms etc (Preferred).
- Team player – able to work collaboratively.
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
- Additional training in specific inspection equipment available for the right candidate.
