Overview
Position: Matchday Steward – Barnsley F.C.
Event Steward Hourly Rate: £12.21 – £13.68 (hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay)
L2 Spectator Safety Trained Steward Hourly Rate: £12.60 – £14.12 (hourly rate inclusive of holiday pay)

We are looking for passionate safety stewards who champion our values to join our matchday teams Keeping People Safe at Oakwell Stadium.
You must be over 18 years old to apply for this role.
Duties
- Monitoring access points and site perimeter patrolling.
- Ingress control – ticket validation, accreditation checks, guest direction and queries.
- Crowd control/people management – foot traffic direction, maintaining order, reporting anti-social behaviour, ensuring crowd safety plans are adhered to.
- Deliver great customer service and be approachable to customers.
- Report any suspicious behaviour.
- Egress control.
- Directing customers around the site.
Requirements
You will be required to gain your L2 in Spectator Safety certificate as part of your employment, this training may be provided by FGH Training free of charge.
About You
- Take pride in a smart appearance with impeccable personal presentation.
- Deliver great customer service.
- Demonstrate the ability to deal with different situations.
- Show maturity and reasoned decision making.
If successful, you will be subjected to security screening in accordance to BS7858:2019 and a DBS check.
