We're now recruiting Festival Security Officers to join our team for Summer 2026. This is your chance to be a part of unforgettable events while playing a vital role in Keeping People Safe. You’ll be working at major festivals including Bournemouth 7's, Beat Herder, Truck, Kendal Calling, Boardmasters and Shambala.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Controlling access points and site perimeter patrolling.
- Ingress control – ticket validation, physical body and bag searches, crowd control, refusal of guests when behaviour/suitability is not in line with event house rules/policies.
- Crowd management – foot traffic direction, escorting and ejecting guests – temporarily detaining guests prior to police handover, maintaining order, subduing anti‑social behaviour, ensuring crowd safety plans are adhered to, apprehending guests/staff suspected of committing crime.
- Deliver approachable customer service and support.
- Monitor and report any suspicious behaviour / take appropriate action.
- Egress control.
- Reporting and recording details of irregularities, incidents, searches and patrols.
- Protection of assets and prevention of losses.
What We’re Looking For
Essential: SIA Door Supervision Licence.
Skills & Experience:
- Great customer service skills.
- Good understanding of security risks and threats present at events and festivals.
- Confidence working in busy, high‑energy environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently de‑escalate and resolve difficult conflict situations.
- Keen eye for detail and the ability to stay vigilant to security risks.
Additional Requirements:
- Happy camping and able to provide the essential camping equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
You will be subject to security screening in accordance to BS7858:2019.
