About The Role

Schedule: Various shift patterns available over the summer

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 30/09/2026

Hourly Rate: ÂŁ12.71 (Entry Level) - ÂŁ13.45 (depending on role & location)

We're now recruiting Festival Safety Stewards to join our team for Summer 2026. This is your chance to be a part of unforgettable events while playing a vital role in Keeping People Safe. You’ll be working at major festivals including Bournemouth 7’s, Beat Herder, Truck, Kendal Calling, Boardmasters and Shambala.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitoring access points and site perimeter patrolling.
  • Ingress control – ticket validation, accreditation checks, guest direction and queries.
  • Crowd management – foot traffic direction, maintaining order, reporting anti-social behaviour, ensuring crowd safety plans are adhered to.
  • Deliver approachable customer service and support.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behaviour / take appropriate action.
  • Egress control.
  • Reporting and recording details of irregularities, incidents, searches and patrols.

What We're Looking For

Essential: Over 18 years old.

Skills & Experience:

  • Great customer service skills.
  • Friendly, approachable and confident engaging with the public.
  • Good awareness of security risks and threats present at events and festivals.
  • Confidence working in busy, high-energy environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to spot and record issues.

Additional Requirements:

  • Happy camping and able to provide the essential camping equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You may be required to gain your L2 in Spectator Safety certificate as part of your employment; this training will be provided by FGH Training free of charge. If your application is successful, you'll need to complete security screening in line with BS7858:2019, along with a DBS check. If you already have a valid Standard or Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months, this can be used. If not, FGH Group is happy to arrange a DBS check for you. In this case, you would cover the cost of the check, and FGH Group will take care of the administration fee.
