Position: Festival Security
Schedule: Various shift patterns available through the summer
Hourly Rate: £13.10 - £14.68* (*inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract Type: Fixed-term ending 30/09/2025

An SIA Door Supervision Licence is essential for this role.
Main Duties
- Controlling access points and patrolling the site perimeter.
- Ingress control – ticket validation, physical body and bag searches, crowd control, refusal of entry when behaviour or suitability does not align with event house rules/policies.
- Crowd management – directing foot traffic, escorting and ejecting guests, temporarily detaining guests prior to police handover, maintaining order, subduing anti-social behaviour, ensuring crowd safety plans are followed, apprehending suspects.
- Providing approachable customer service and support.
- Monitoring and reporting suspicious behaviour and taking appropriate action.
- Managing egress control.
- Reporting and recording irregularities, incidents, searches, and patrols.
- Protecting assets and preventing losses.
About You
The ideal candidate will need to:
- Have a passion for keeping people safe.
- Understand security risks and threats at events and festivals.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Enjoy training and continuous learning.
- Be comfortable camping and able to provide essential camping gear.
- Be available to work over 24 hours per week during festivals, which is the minimum hours for our shortest festival.
Note: Camping is a requirement for this role as the team stays on-site during festivals. If you\'re not a fan of camping, please explore other vacancies.
If successful, you will undergo security screening in accordance with BS7858:2019.
