The Senior E-Commerce Full Stack (Application Support) Engineer role is responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, optimisation and reliability of FGH's secure, high-performing B2C ecommerce websites and shopping apps. The focus of this role is support and involves:
- Maintaining platform stability and performance by monitoring ecommerce websites and shopping apps, resolving incidents and providing business support.
- Working collaboratively with cross-functional digital teams including CRO and digital analytics analysts, SEO specialists, creative/UX designers, architecture and engineering teams and digital product owners to monitor and support ecommerce applications, manage analytics and tagging, enable CRO and SEO capabilities and deliver small enhancements.
Accountabilities
- Maintain platform stability and performance by monitoring ecommerce websites and shopping apps, resolving incidents, and ensuring high availability.
- Ensure accurate analytics and tagging by maintaining digital tracking integrations and working with analytics teams on data quality issues.
- Support and implement small changes, including configuration updates, digital tagging changes, UI refinements and functional enhancements.
- Support customer experience optimisation including CRO tests, personalisation features, SEO-related functionality and performance-critical user journeys.
- Maintain reliable integrations with key SaaS and ERP/CRM systems.
- Ensuring web development security best practices are implemented and maintained that comply with applicable UK regulations such as UK-GDPR, UK Payment Services Regulations and PCI-DSS.

About You
- 10+ years of experience in software development/support, building and supporting high-traffic, high availability systems with at least 3 years in a full stack software engineer role.
- Proven track record of supporting and maintaining performant, scalable and secure transactional E-Commerce websites.
- Experience of using digital marketing technologies such as Tag management (Adobe Launch), Digital Analytics (Adobe Analytics), A/B testing, CRO and Personalisation (Adobe Target).
- Technical SEO knowledge including crawling and indexing, structured data, site architecture, canonicalization, and mobile optimisation.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript with strong experience with front-end frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery.
- Experience of working with server-side scripting languages or frameworks (Microsoft ASP, .NET) and of integrating front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, jQuery) combined with an awareness of back-end development languages such as C#, Java.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed, timely technical decisions.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy.
- Pragmatic, adaptable and results oriented, demonstrating a business value focus.
- Self-motivated and able to operate with autonomy.
- Able to commute to Bradford city centre, as required.
- Work additional hours to ensure projects are completed on time.
