We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth in our Chemicals data and analytics business. This role covers the full chemicals value chain — from base petrochemicals and polymers, intermediates, specialty chemicals to C1 chemicals and fertilizers such as ammonia, urea, and methanol, and covers both conventional routes to these products and the sustainable alternatives being developed via bio-derived and renewable energy routes.

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the data and analysis requirements in these industries and a proven track record of selling data, analysis, process technology and market intelligence products, combined with a strong understanding of the global chemicals sector. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving cross-sell and upsell initiatives across FGE NexantECA’s broader energy portfolio.

Requirements
  • 7–10 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in market data, research, analytics, or consulting services within the chemicals or energy industries.
  • Strong understanding of the chemicals value chain, including petrochemicals, fertilizers, intermediates, and specialty products.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercially strategic mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Existing network or book of business in the chemicals sector is a significant advantage.
