Job Description

As Content and Communications Executive, you will plan, produce, and publish content across FGE Nexant ECA’s owned channels – from the website and Linked In to thought leadership and internal communications.

You will also own the firm’s SEO and web optimisation output, filling a genuine gap in how we grow and sustain our digital presence.

Working closely with research, consulting, and commercial teams, you will ensure everything we produce is accurate, purposeful, and consistent with how we want the firm to be seen.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a confident content professional who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and produce work they are proud of across a range of formats and channels.

  • Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in a content, communications, or digital marketing role, ideally within B2B, professional services, or a research‑led organisation.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a sharp sense of tone, clarity, and audience.
  • Proven experience managing corporate social media channels and producing content calendars end to end.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and web content optimisation.
  • Comfortable working with technical subject matter experts to extract insight and shape it into publishable content.
  • A data‑literate mindset – able to interpret channel analytics and turn them into practical recommendations.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing quality or attention to detail.
  • Experience with CMS platforms; familiarity with Webflow is an advantage.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, commodities, financial services, or another specialist B2B sector.
  • Familiarity with Hub Spot or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and digital content optimisation.
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Content & Editorial
  • Own and manage the firm’s marketing content calendar, maintaining a consistent cadence across all owned channels.
  • Produce high-quality content across formats – including articles, analyst commentary, social copy, web copy, and newsletters.
  • Work with subject matter experts across research and consulting to translate technical insight into clear, audience‑appropriate content.
  • Maintain and apply the firm’s tone of voice and editorial standards across all outputs.
  • Social Media & Digital Channels
  • Own and manage FGE Nexant ECA’s Linked In presence, driving consistent publishing, audience engagement, and follower growth.
  • Manage website content updates, keeping pages accurate, current, and well‑structured for target audiences.
  • Monitor channel performance and produce regular reporting on reach, engagement, and content effectiveness.
  • SEO & Web Optimisation
  • Own the firm’s SEO strategy, ensuring web content is structured and optimised to improve organic search visibility.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply findings to web copy, metadata, and content planning.
  • Work with the website and design functions to ensure technical SEO best practices are maintained.
  • Track and report on organic search performance, identifying opportunities to improve ranking and traffic.
  • Internal Communications
  • Plan and deliver internal communications that keep colleagues informed of firm news, marketing activity, and business milestones.
  • Draft firm‑wide announcements related to marketing, leadership updates, and employee communications in a clear and consistent voice.
  • Performance & Optimisation
  • Define and track KPIs across content, social, and SEO channels, including reach, engagement, and web traffic.
  • Analyse performance data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously test and refine content formats, messaging, and publishing cadence based on what works.
  • Collaboration
  • Partner with research, consulting, and commercial teams to ensure content reflects current business priorities and market developments.
  • Work alongside the Campaign Manager and Portfolio Managers to align content activity with wider marketing programmes.
  • Act as an editorial resource across the firm, supporting colleagues in communicating clearly and consistently.
