We are currently recruiting for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a well established construction business based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for successfully delivering high quality projects across multiple sectors, with a strong reputation for meeting exacting standards.
The business is a well established construction contractor operating across Healthcare, High Rise Residential, Commercial, Education and Retail sectors. With a strong forward order book secured for 2026, 2027 and beyond, they offer long term stability and continued growth. Projects are delivered from concept through to completion, with all pre construction handled in house. Sustainability, collaboration and attention to detail sit at the core of everything they do.
The Role: You will play a key role in supporting and maintaining high standards across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality across multiple live sites. This position will take ownership of the QA function, leading on implementation and continuous improvement of quality processes across the business.
Duties Include:
- Taking ownership of the QA function across the business
- Implementing and improving QA systems, processes and procedures
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring QA procedures are embedded across all projects
- Reviewing and maintaining QA documentation, ITPs and site records
- Carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Ensuring compliance with current legislation and company procedures
- Investigating incidents and non conformances, producing reports with clear recommendations
- Delivering toolbox talks and supporting site teams with best practice
- Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a SHEQ Advisor role within construction
- Strong experience in quality assurance and implementing QA systems
- Working knowledge of HSE legislation
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites
