About the Opportunity
FFW Site Services are working with an established civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in road and highway construction to support the delivery of projects across Yorkshire.
This opportunity would suit a hands on Site Manager who takes pride in delivering quality projects, leading site teams and maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day delivery of civil engineering and highways projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
- Plan and organise daily and weekly construction activities.
- Monitor site progress, productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, RAMS and site procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Maintain accurate site diaries, quality records and project documentation.
- Monitor labour, plant and material requirements to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain project progress.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven road and highway construction experience is essential.
- Previous Site Management experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and construction operations.
- Strong understanding of highways construction methods, programmes and site safety.
- Experience delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Valid SMSTS qualification.
- Appropriate CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable but not essential:
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator qualification.
- Streetworks / NRSWA.
- Experience working under NEC or JCT contracts.
- Experience delivering drainage, public realm or wider infrastructure schemes.
