Trainee Accountant (Apprentice) β ACA/ACCA
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hardworking individual.
This role gives the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to begin a career in accountancy.
As a general chartered accountancy practice, the role will give the candidate exposure to a wide range of industries and client types, making it the perfect platform to build a career in finance.
A candidate who progresses well within the role will have the opportunity to expand their exposure to more complex larger clients and have some exposure to audit engagements.
Internally, youβll be supported by a coach who will act as your mentor, partners and senior staff.

Requirements
- Candidates must possess: 2:1 degree or above (achieved or predicted) in any discipline or the full AAT qualification.
- A minimum of Level 5 (B grade using the old system) in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
- The right to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the training.
- Excellent communication skills and works well in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willing to have a go at new challenges.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude to learning and personal development.
- Open and willing to discuss personal progression.
A normal day would include
- Preparation of annual accounts from client books & records for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Using of Microsoft Office suite and Cloud based accounts file software (My Workpapers).
- Preparation of the corporation tax returns.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Opportunity for audit experience.
- Communicating and liaising with clients via phone/email.
- Assistance with other general office duties.
- All work is reviewed by the Manager/Partner.
