We’re looking for a proactive and analytical Demand Planner to join our fast-paced eCommerce team. This role is critical in managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring we fulfil customer needs efficiently on Amazon. You’ll collaborate closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to align on campaign strategies, set promotional deals, and respond quickly to market shifts using data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Develop accurate short- and mid-term forecasts for eCommerce SKUs based on historical sales, market trends, traffic data, and campaign calendars. Continuously refine forecasts to respond to rapid changes in consumer behaviour, online trends, and promotional events (e.g., flash sales, influencer drops).
- Inventory & Fulfilment Management: Ensure the right stock is available at the right time across all eCommerce channels (own site, marketplaces). Monitor sell-through rates, stock cover, and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Work with fulfilment and logistics teams to align inventory with sales velocity and shipping SLAs.
- Promotion & Campaign Planning: Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing teams to plan and forecast for campaigns, new launches, and seasonal events. Model promotional uplift and evaluate past promo performance to improve planning accuracy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Participate in weekly S&OP or trading meetings, providing forecast insights and inventory risk updates. Align demand planning with marketing calendars, sales targets, and supply capabilities.
- Data, Tools & Reporting: Use BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and analytics to track performance and build forecast models. Proactively identify optimisation opportunities in data flows, planning logic, and decision-making frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in demand planning, inventory management, or digital merchandising, ideally within eCommerce or fast-moving consumer goods.
- Strong command of data tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) and demand planning systems.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and analytics (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or similar) is a plus.
