Job Function
We are looking for an experienced Motorsport Professional for the role of Team Manager, responsible for planning and delivery of all on track customer operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role within the industry and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. A thorough and detailed approach to event management from conception to delivery. A passion for, and understanding of the motorsport industry. Assisting with marketing materials and communications. The position requires the highest standards of work and presentation, along with a dedicated hands‑on approach. The role is client facing thus requiring strong interpersonal skills and providing trackside management, hospitality and hosting. UK and International travel along with weekend working is a pre-requisite, for which time in lieu will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Track/Test/Race Day Operations
- Responsible for creating and updating of track activity calendar.
- Compose and distribute detailed pre‑event team and customer information documents.
- Driving instructor pairing with appropriate customer, handling booking and payment.
- Trackside attendance at events to ensure their smooth and successful delivery.
- Organising catering for customers and team members.
- Post event analysis.
- Customer Management
- Engaging with customers to ensure their active participation in track events and manage their requirements.
- Liaising with the Team Principal to process and organise customer bookings and invoicing.
- Fostering strong relationships with key clients, acting as one of the primary contact points for customers.
- Ability to problem‑solve with customer issues and to liaise with the technical and operational teams to ensure any issues are managed.
- Team Management
- Managing customers’ needs for race equipment, car liveries, licence applications.
- Responsible for team and customer travel, accommodation, catering and hospitality.
- Liaising with championship organisers to process customer entries.
- Submit temporary export documentation (carnet) applications.
- Compose and distribute detailed pre‑event team and customer information documents.
- Trackside attendance at events to ensure their smooth and successful delivery.
- Responsible for trackside hospitality including garage tours for customer guests/prospects/sponsors.
- Liaising with the technical team and clients to help ensure regulation compliance where applicable.
- Ensure compliance of truck and trailer maintenance.
- Ensure compliance of all company procedures and health and safety requirements.
